Introducing our second monthly, client spotlight. This month we spoke with Laura Majewski from Flexworks about the great work she does and why she chose to work with us.
What do you do?
At Flexworks HR® I provide flexible, straightforward, and specialist HR advice to businesses who know they are only ever as successful as their people.
I work in partnership with purpose driven businesses to help them get the best from their team, allowing them the space to develop, and ultimately drive the business forward.
What are your key values?
Purpose, social, and environmental impact is consistently incorporated into my decision making at Flexworks HR®, and the following values run through every point of the client journey:
Authenticity – Personable, honest, open, and straight talking. Creating a working relationship where you can feel confident sharing your biggest concerns without judgment.
Flexibility – In how we work together, my recommended approach to people management, and in how I work so you receive the advice when you need it most. You won’t find a one size fits all approach here!
Freedom – To do things differently with a fresh perspective, and to give you the freedom to manage your business and people in the best way.
Transparency – In every part of our working relationship.
Trust – A trusted partner to you and your business, ensuring you receive qualified, independent, specialist HR advice when you need it most.
What are your plans for the business over the next twelve months?
I have ambitious growth plans for my business over the next twelve months, all while delivering the greatest impact possible for my clients as their external HR Consultant. This includes continuing to develop services and products that meet the needs of my clients, prospective clients, and their people challenges.
I am currently working towards B Corp Certification for Flexworks HR® and hope to be certified in early 2023.
I believe that businesses must be a force for good, actions and impact speak louder than words, and I am excited to join a growing number of worldwide businesses on the same mission, to commit to positively impact all stakeholders.
I am also excited to be working with a growing number of B Corp clients and have plans to grow this area of my business. This includes continuing to support a number of businesses to increase their social and environmental impact through their people, many of which are working towards B Corp certification themselves.
As a highly experienced workplace investigator, I am also planning to become an accredited workplace mediator over the next year. This is in order to work with clients to avoid workplace conflict wherever possible, and the stress this inevitably causes for all involved.
Why did you choose BW?
I was lucky to meet Natalie through a networking event when we were both very new in business, and just starting out. For me choosing the right Accountant was probably one of the most daunting things on my to do list.
Being a values driven business, our shared approach really stood out for me when we first met- personable and straight talking, flexibility to scale accountancy services as my business grows, and trust to know I am getting the right advice when I need it most.
Knowing that sustainability, people, and community are at the heart of Natalie’s business was also key for me, and its great to have an Accountant on board who is aligned on these essential fundamentals for running a business.
What value do you think we bring to your business?
I am someone who likes to know my numbers so Natalie’s ability to flex her approach based on the information I like to see is great.
Knowing that any questions I have are answered quickly, and clearly, is a huge weight off my mind.
I’m also very grateful I’ve found an Accountant who’s personable with a great personality, who I know will continue to support my business as it continues to grow.
